Now aside from that, this is a special issue of Powerserge where I am featuring one artist in particular. She goes by the handle of Carmeliza on deviantART.com. She is from Odessa ,Ukraine and has an affinity for pixelation! Though I can sit here and pour over the awesomeness of Carmeliza, I rather just show you. Carmeliza designed her after Momoka-chan from Keroro Gunso and I must say, she captured my ecchi vision perfectly, and who can resist pixelations? Since I have opened my page I have gotten a trickling following but as long as the numbers go up, I am ok!

Carmeliza took the time to  get this little piece together(Titled Prajiz and Truola). Its is a video frame, full pixels. Just looking at everything in the piece, you can imagine the tedious work involved when creating something pixel by pixel. Everything is well proportioned and the color scheme was a great choice match for the .Gif running in the foreground. The base of the piece was supplied another artist which can be viewed from Carmiza’s profile on Deviantart.com.

My Sweetheart Enemy

This piece from comes from the anime “Black Rock Shooter” which I have not personally sat and watched…yet! The trailer looks amazing. What I could gather from the insane little video was the the character in the left and the one on the right are rivals in some insane strategically colored super sweet trip land. However I could be wrong but the trailer is insane. Everything in the characters appearance within this particular pixel frame are consistent with the anime so Carmeliza has done a great job with character portrayal and color choice. The world these pixelated characters are in is similar to the one in the anime. The walls and floors all have a single color hue and crazy patterns like checkerboards and skulls.

Radioactive Friendship

This one is just another pixelation piece of course involving original characters to Carmeliza. It looks as if two friends are running through the night. One being a winged cyborg of some kind and the other a cat girl. I like the expressions in their faces and how the piece is pretty open  to interpretation as to what dynamics of relationship these girls share. They could be lovers…they could be best friend, point is they enjoy each others company and the artist did a good job of showing that.

Touhou: Do you wanna play?

Touhou is one of my favorite characters of Carmeliza’s. There is a 1% strawberry shortcake influence here but nothing noticeable. Her accessories are great. The staff is very interesting looking and leaves alot to the imagination. What is it for? Could it not be a staff? Maybe she just uses it clean up the bloody messes she leaves at parties? I digress; the lights are a great touch and I like to imagine them as some sort of back attachment or wings. Her bloody tears and smile leaves her motive to run rampant in your imagination.

Inspired my Mindless Self Indulgence's-Never Wanted to Dance

This little number was inspired by the MSI song labeled below it. I am a fan of MSI aka Mindless Self Indulgence and it is neat to see how songs channel through different people. ART! .

SM: On a big cheesy moon.

Goodness, the second I saw this piece, I just let out the longest giggle I have in a while. Sailor Moon’s proportions are so deformed my heart is cracking from cuteness overload. Not to mention she is standing on her cheesy moon. The one thing she is destined to guard as chibi moon is…cheeeese. (They call ‘chibi’ super deformed around my part of the globe (US)…and if it isn’t official or it is, it sounds damn ridiculous either way, therefore I shall always say chibi FYI)

Many people think of this being timed/made for “zombie-fever” and ….of course…all of the fan-service arguments of it being diluted and cheap  right off the bat.

First off, I understand there is a strong influx of zombie based….media surfacing or has surfaced. (i.e. Left 4 Dead series,Zombieland,The Walking Dead comics, and zombie modes in several different games.) Well, I don’t think there is any kind of fever going on, we just all happen to like zombies. I find it really hard to believe people would fall into a zombie fad, if they hated zombies previously.  If it was up to me, I would play Mega-Man, as a bloody zombie that shoots severed eyeballs or torsos if you charge it up. However, that is enough digging into secret fantasies and on with the star!

High-school of the Dead (it isn’t all in a high-school…relax) pretty much is the perfect rendition of…well…if a high-school was where the zombie infestation started. Takashi Komuro,  skipping class like it’s a thing to do, witnesses a peculiar incident go down at the entrance gates of the school.

A teacher, perhaps the principal, a coach, and yet another teacher all stare at this one intruder, mindlessly (like a  *GASP* zombie) repetitively walking into the gate. You can pretty much guess what happens. One of them HAS to check the wierdo close-up (Light-blue cocky fuck). Someone HAS to grab it by the neck and yell into it’s blank face. Someone has to get bitten where they could have prevented a GIANT INFESTATION. Who wants to take a guess what happens next? Anyone?

A. The remaining survivors don’;t bother to find out what happens, freaking out, they run and try to tell the students before things get out of hand.

B.  911 is dialed and when they arrive, they end up being the organization that released the zombies.

C. “Oh dear, is he dead? Let me get the closest peek at the wound, when he twitches, I’ll know he is alive.

If you have chosen C, congratulations you have just won!

Of course you guys saw that one coming.For those who didn’t or just plain lack imagination, check out the first 8 Minutes of the anime now to get absorbed into it.

The cast gets introduced pretty quickly so I am going to try and follow that pattern. Anyone who colors this dandy gets a prize!!

1. Saya Takagi – A strong-minded and almost insulting school genious.                                    2. Shizuka Marikawa- The ditsy and boobilicious school nurse.

3. Rei Miyamoto – Komuro Takashi’s bffl and long time love-interest. She is in the “Sojutsu” club at school and whoops total ass!

4. Saeko Busujima – President of the school’s Kendo Club, she is quiet and mysterious and full of useful strategies. + sexy points for bra fighting…you’ll see.                                                                                           5.Kohta Hirano – A gun enthusiast and the group’s ranged expert hands-down. “It’s a kill-shot!”

6.Takashi Komuro- A high school sophomore who longs for Rei’s love. If he did not hesitate to confess it to her, she wouldn’t be dating his best friend Hisashi.
With that said, I give you a sneak peek into the first 8 minutes of the series I found on youtube!  Lucky for you guys  ;] .

Plenty of things coming up here on the Powerserge. I have had time to…er research plenty of anime and I have a whole mental warehouse ready to unload into your eyes. As everyone knows, I have to keep it ecchi and exciting with every anime I divulge. With that said here are a few things of what to come.

-Highschool of the Dead – Oh lord, I think this is my favorite creation ever. With plenty of fan-service (I don’t know about you guys, but I dig it) and enough blood to…shit, I don’t know. The motions are so smooth I can’t help but just…stare until the show ends.   My point is, if you are into horror/zombies/boobies/action and true NO nonsense characters, this one is your perfect fit.

-Marvel vs Capcom 3-I know I know, it isn’t an anime. However, it is pretty damn inspired by the world anime. Not to mention Capcom has several different shows out and characters featured within the game. *yeeeeee!*

-Fan art-   The art of self-expression and showing tribute through different mediums is what gets me about the anime world and it’s fans.  With drawings,cosplay,sculptures, and even structures…this proves to be getting mighty electrifying.

This week I have alot of great Gurren Lagann art with many cross-overs (like with Smash Bros!) and cosplay! (Everyone should know, I wouldn’t cosaplay myself simply because I don’t think I look like anyone.) There is nothing worse than a lame cosplay guys, just keep that in mind when you are trying to be a pro. There is a thin-line between fool and cool when it comes to costumes.

Now without further ado, I give you…Gurren Lagann from viewers like you.

First item up is a *chibi* piece. I have explained before that chibi is what I interpret as the “cutification” of certain things. Usually made smaller with different proportion than average character. They are not children just cause they are little! heheh.

Leeron, a character who I assume is openly gay because of his avalanche of innuendos through out the series. He is the engineer of the group and someone who always comes through; whether it’s for a shoulder to cry on, or a giga-buster anti spiral drill that needs fixing, you can count on Leeron. Tengen Toppa Smash Bros Lagann.  I have to admit, these two coming together are as likely as ninja turtles vs chu chu rocket.  However, the artist blened the two worlds so well and the expressions are priceless. Funny funnies.

Ah, just at the sound of the title “Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann” (Literally translates to Heaven-Piercing Gurren Lagann) I begin to melt a little. This anime  has just about every theme, twist and genre in the business included within its primary-colored presence. By that I mean, the artists consciously gave certain things certain colors giving the anime the color schemes based on the relationships of the  color wheel. It appears to be that the “primary” or main characters are designed with the primary colors in mind.

Other characters such as Nia are not in a set pattern of the wheel (i.e secondary, intermediate) but can be found along the same path resulting in fantastic character designs and art style. Apparently, colors are directly related to personalities.

Gainex and co-producers Aniplex and Konami are the companies we should thank for the creation of this spectacle. It is approximately twenty-seven episodes long, which may seem a bit long to unseasoned TV watchers in general, but the show never ever skips a beat. There isn’t a second where it drags on or a relationship seems created to fill episode time. I found it a miracle they managed to fit everything they did into just twenty-seven episodes. The Lagann series goes as far as to have a shippuden-like second half where the characters have grown well over five years older and things very much change compared to their nomad like existence in the first half.

“…Fight the Pow-ah.”

A young boy who is practically an orphan is doing his daily duties in his underground village. He drill and drill at the cave walls to further expand his colony’s space. On a previous day,before the anime starts apparently, he finds a strange little drill. Then later, on one of those tedious daily drilling routines he find a robo-face…just staring back at him. He tells his “bffl” Kamina and from there things pretty much explode. The events of Gurren Lagann can most closely be described the human’s existence in our universe. Adrenaline-wise I would call it a super-charged volcano that has a gas truck being driven into it while the driver grabs fistfuls of firecrackers from the passenger seat and screams his nuts off until finally the biggest explosion ever occurs, followed by an amazing silence with the viewer’s own personal explosion whether it be in pants or mind. Sekirei Cast

When I first laid my eyes on this anime, I saw what ecchi truly meant. The manga was published by Square Enix in 2005 and is still ongoing and in a hidden location. Later on in 2008, it was picked up for a anime adaptation by the animation studio, Seven Arc spanning 12 episodes and covering about the first fifty chapters of the manga. Currently, there is a second season in the works. which was SUPPOSED to be released already but I have given up on release dates. At least I have learned not to take them too seriously nowadays. With the manga incomplete, I am scared the second season might pull a Soul Eater (I’ll definitely rant about this fuck-up later) and COMPLETELY STRAY from the intended path. I figure that anime should always be representative of the manga unless, there is no manga. So when these things happen (aka fillers or rushed endings) the series tends to die as a whole. Its a depressing process really. T_T. So on a lighter note, let me tell you what this boobie bomb is about.

The “center piece” of this harem anime is a young-college failing-smart-loser-awkward-nervous wreck of a boy named Minato Sahashi. Minato is currently trying to get into college, however with two failed attempts under his belt the whole situation became pretty discouraging. He had a part-time job and lived alone, struggling from paycheck to paycheck. He is branded as a loser by pretty much everyone and his mother and little sister remind him of this day to day status.

On one of these days he deems to be so lame- Out of the sky falls a beautiful girl named Musubi who seems to be having her own problems. She is being chased by two Sekirei (extraterrestrial super-powered beings with genetic code similar to humans.) and mumbles something about wings and heads on her way. Flustered, he pursuits her to [location] where he eventually learns of his fate as an Ashikabi (her’s to be exact) which are humans with unique genes that empower the Sekirei destined to serve them through an exchange of saliva between Sekirei, and their Ashikabi. Yes, they have to kiss for the link to be made and yes, the link is permanent. After this meeting, they become attached and he goes on to gather more and more Sekirei. Or, more like they go to gather him. What is supposed to happen is, after all the links are made between everyone, Japan is supposed to be shut down and the remaining Sekirei and Ashikabi are left to battle it out to the death with the city as the battleground. Oh- and the winner tastes paradise aka goes to heaven (I’m still half and half about this idea ha)

So if being magnetically ,aka definitely, linked to women (some of them are guys too ladies) pre-selected by an unknown entity to worship and serve you is your bag, then this show is definitely for you. If you want those said women (again some guys) to fight each other, for your well being and affection, and in the process lose clothes as they trade blows? well this should be what you are looking for.

As people watch Anime, they think of the character development, the animation,the art style,the plot, the themes, etc. Those are all very important and probably the more interesting parts that make up the essence of an anime. The purpose of this blog is to show you guys n gals, those special moments in a show, where your eyes shimmer as you stare at the screen, both marked with a matching sparkle. The over the top duels and those ecchi moments most of us love. (I am surprised though at the amount of people who aren’t fans but hey, I must be one of the pervs ;].)

I will be uncensored and brutally honest on what I speak about.I consider myself an artist so I am big on expressing myself. As my posts go on, feel free to submit to me any AMV/Wallpaper/Fan art/Doujinshi that contain action or ecchi. I will sift through corny material! Meaning – just so everyone knows so I will try an minimize the “mainstream factor” unless of course a fight goes down that is worthy of a post.
